A great simple weekend lunch at Virginia Inn on 1st and Virginia.
I enjoy Seattle in the winter time. Do not get me wrong our summers beat the rest of the world in terms of sheer awesomeness but none the less every restaurant, hotel, bar and shop in Pike Place is filled with tourists. During the winter months the market is overcast and the streets are virtually empty; Ash and I grab a bottle of wine from the upstairs market at DeLaurenti and head over to Jack’s Fish Spot from about 2pm till whenever Jack decides to close. A decent wine for the price. Do not remember how we got this bottle. We enjoy Horse Heaven Hills wines from Washington. This wine had a bit of spice but still enjoyed. Good buy.
Been to this winery on every visit to Walla Walla. Great people. This wine was purchased several years ago by a couple we hang out with on a trip to Walla Walla. Bought it from a downstairs room in the tasting room. Had this wine the other night while watching the movie SOMM. Classic merlot from a Washington winery.
Of the Zins we have had from California I really enjoyed this cheap but tasty wine. Great after 11pm 😉
A great sangiovese. Definitely alcohol, peppery, still smooth with fruit on the back. One of our favorites so far.
Enjoyed this wine cold on a hot day. Literally from the fridge. Easy drinking wine. Paired with pork and a ceviche dish.
Enjoyed this bottle quickly. A good wine from Australia. Great price point.
