While I assume most people made New Year’s resolutions to lose weight or something like that…mine was simpler…just say Yes! Most of you probably do not know…but my parents live one floor above Ash and I…and since we live in the same building…its easy to head upstairs for dinner or the occasional Pepsi 🙂 But most of the time at the very last minute I will ask my Dad…”Hey pop you want to go….” or “Hey pop meet me….” or “Hey Ash and I you to come….” or “Hey pop let’s smoke a cigar” He without fail always says YES! These last four days…Ash and I basically just said yes…here is what happened…

On Thursday…Ash wanted to make a bay shrimp and spinach salad…I made some type of pasta dish.

Yes to two takes on the same ingredients!

On Friday…I had to meet Ash at our building for a project we are working on…later that night Maggie came over (Ash’s sister) and we headed to Bait Shop, Social, Holy Smoke and discovered this little chocolate martini gem

I already ate lunch...but I ate lunch again...with Ash. Mudhoney at Delicactus in Pioneer Square.

On Saturday I cooked a steak again…but this time a couple friends joined who wanted to go to Taylor Shellfish…

And it turned out that Saturday was Chris Nishiwaki‘s birthday party train…moving through the Melrose market. We met most of the important food industry people in Seattle and continued the party over to Terra Plata…but not before I met the man who wrote this article which sent my wife and 2 friends to Ireland and Paris this summer…Jon Rowley…

Me with Jon Rowley.

At Terra Plata we met A LOT of people from a guy named Columba to Daisley Gordon…then we got invited back to Taylor Shellfish for a private shucking/ eating…

Overall a sweet couple days filled with everything food to rock n roll. Besides saying “Yes”….where’s the love? 🙂
